With the economic troubles these days many are turning to the Internet for ideas on how to earn some extra income. Statistics show however that 98% of Internet marketers make nothing or little worth mentioning! In fact, the reality is they spend hundreds and thousands of dollars falling prey to the latest and greatest marketing software or course, only to collect dust on their computer hard drives! Why? And what is the solution?
- The fact is that because of the flood of stories testifying instant overnight riches on the Internet, the masses have almost come to expect this type of result. Sales copy has evolved to such an advanced state that even the ludicrous becomes almost believable!
- Because the Internet is still new and advancing so fast, the majority of newcomers are really only experienced in email and searching the web, if that much! Ignorance then becomes opportunity and self acclaimed gurus take advantage with yet another e book, a $500 to $4,000 course, seminars, and the offers continue to grow.
- Information overload has now spread as one of the most common entrepreneurial diseases of our time, crippling those who once held a dream of supplementing there income. Many who could not afford to fell into credit card debt and dug themselves into even a greater hole financially than when they first begun. They entered with a dream and ended up in a nightmare. The sad thing is that at first the dream was in their hearts and minds, the nightmare became a financial reality!
The Dream Revisited
A fire kindled, deep within the entrepreneurial heart may flicker and seem to have gone out, but like hot coals, continue to burn! Stories of the enduring spirit have been the inspiration of many in every field of life. It is likened to a acorn that has the design to be one of the most prestigious of all trees and yet needs to fall to the ground and seemingly dies to all around it, yet with the proper balance of soil and water it takes root and grows to one of the strongest of all trees!
What does one need to become an Internet marketer?
- A spirit that is rekindled! A mindset of a "yes we can"attitude! A mind that is fed the proper ingredients that nourish the dream and strengthens the believability in ones self!
- A blueprint for success. A strong desire needs the proper channel to be effectual. We need a step by step process, a strategy, that will enable us to build on a sure foundation. There are many aspects to Internet marketing and this is why many become so overwhelmed and give up. You cannot learn it all at once. Yes every aspect looks intriguing because it offers you another solution to earn money, but you cannot allow yourself to be scattered. You are learning a trade. Learn and focus on one area of Internet marketing at a time. Kiss means keep it simple stupid. This has to be your mantra! Enjoy the learning process!
- Find a mentor. Rather than throwing your money away in useless and over hipped courses and software, invest in your self and your education by finding a mentor. You will dramatically cut your learning time and wind up actually saving money! Many are taken in with all the newest courses and offers because they are a little more affordable than a true mentor may cost. But you will not be throwing your money away on useless things. Not only will you save money, you will earn money faster with a mentor! Would you rather earn within a month or two with a mentor or would you rather wait till maybe never and spend hundreds to thousands of dollars on useless products that will only sit on your computers hard drive?
- Take action! Procrastination is a killer! It allows the fire to die! The reason so many aren't successful in Internet marketing is because they are ever learning but never putting into action. Thus never earning! One reason for procrastination is that you want your product to be perfect. Or you don't quite understand everything and your scared to take the step until you've got it perfected. Don't allow this! Destroy this mindset!
- The law of cause and effect. This is one of my favorite realizations! If You want to change something in your life you need to do something to cause that change!I'm sure you've heard the description of insanity right? Insanity is when you keep doing what you've always been doing and expect a different result! Well, if you want to change your financial situation through Internet marketing take an action step right now. If you want an effect do something to cause it to become a reality!
